People with high errors of refraction tend to get floaters. Supposedly this is from pieces of the tissues of the eye flaking off the coats of the eye, resulting from strain. Actually everybody notices floating bodies from time to time, especially when looking at a uniformly brightly lit surface. Have you ever asked your eye doctor about them? William Bates recommended relaxation as a way to get rid of the symptoms. He thought floating specks were completely imaginary, which I do not believe is true. So I would say, try palming and shifting (see "Bates Method in a Nutshell" on the I_SEE Home Page ) to get rid of your PERCEPTION of the floaters. They'll still be there. If you're concerned about medical implications, ask your doctor. --Alex =========================================================================
